Laguna Water to spend P1.2B for service improvement and expansion

Laguna Water is spending PhP1.2 billion this year for the improvement of existing water supply network and facilities to widen its reach and to expand its services in the entire Province of Laguna.

“Committed to provide our growing number of customers access to sustainable, safe, and clean water, we at Laguna Water continuously seek for opportunities that will help us deliver and ensure excellent customer experience, and will bring significant improvement to our services,” said Shoebe B. Caong, Laguna Water General Manager and Chief Operating Officer.

The largest water and wastewater services provider in the Province of Laguna will be investing in various water source development; water network expansion, improvement, and rehabilitation; water service reliability projects; and water facility upgrades.

Further, Laguna Water will also start offering used water services, which will aid in improving Lagunenses access to adequate sanitation. The company has upgraded its Sewage Treatment Plant in Laguna Technopark, to include a fully-mechanized septage treatment facility. The upgraded plant will utilize Organica Food Chain Reactor technology for the treatment of domestic used water, a first in the Philippines.

Currently, Laguna Water has more than 130,000 service connections, which include residential, commercial, and industrial customers. With its service improvement and expansion initiatives, the company eyes significant growth it its number of customers this 2018.
