No one out-pizzas the Hut.
It’s official!
Pizza Hut has broken the world record for the largest pizza with its mammoth, 13,990-square-foot pizza created with popular YouTuber Airrack at LA Convention Center, Los Angeles, California last Jan. 18.
The Guinness World Records officially recognized the Double Pepperoni Big New Yorker Pizza with its 132-foot diameter as the world’s largest pizza after two days of onsite preparations to create this gigantic treat.
To create this world-record-breaking pizza, 6,193 kg of dough was used, and along with it came 2,244 kg of pizza sauce, 3,992 kg of cheese, and around 630,496 pieces of pepperoni.
According to David Graves, CEO of Pizza Hut, the humongous pizza in compliance with L.A. County Department of Public Health, is meant for an incredible cause because 68,000 slices will go to local food banks in the Los Angeles area.
