CREATIVE SELF-MIRRORING @ SUNSHINE PLACE

Manila Critics Circle 1991 National Book Awardee and The Philippine Star columnist Barbara ‘Tweetums’ Gonzalez-Ventura will be conducting another workshop at the Sunshine Place beginning this January called Knowing Me Batch 1.

The workshop will have ten sessions to be conducted every Saturday from 1:30 – 4:30 pm on

January 20 & 27; February 3,10,17 & 24; and  March 2,9,16 & 23.

Ms. Ventura, in her column dated November 12, 2023 wrote that Knowing Me “will introduce us to the hidden mysterious parts of ourselves.”

“That’s the precise reason why I love to teach: it makes me learn so much more about myself and others,” she added.

Knowing Me is a workshop on creative elf-mirroring.

In the workshop, participants will create their own Discovery Journals by making collages which is a method of creative self-mirroring.

Some issues cannot simply be captured in words, and this is where collages come into play.

Collages help in structuring, developing and presenting visual issues that are difficult to express in words.

Working spontaneously with imagery reveals deeper aspects of oneself, which one will write about.
