LOS BAÑOS, Laguna – The Laguna Field Agricultural Extension Services-Office of the Provincial Agriculturist (FAES-OPAg) facilitated the Technical Briefing with Accreditation for Laguna’s seed growers, hosted by the Bureau of Plant and Industry-National Seed Quality Control Services (BPI-NSQCS) R4A at El Cielito Hotel, Jamboree Site, in Mt. Makiling on 05 May 2025.
The purpose of the activity is to further expand the knowledge of seed growers and inspectors in terms of improving rice farming industry in the province, to boost agricultural production and food security.
The briefing team was composed of Seeds Inspector Mr. Zoilo Ama, Agricultural Program Coordinating Officer Ms. Jhoanna Santiago, FAES Seed Coordinator Ms. Pamela Jara, and Ms. Nenita Nievera of BPI.
BPI-NSQCS is mandated to provide quality assurance and control services for seed and planting material production, processing, storage and distribution and seed training in seed quality towards sustainable agriculture and environment protection.
