Jean Henri Lhuillier, President and CEO of Cebuana Lhuillier, emphasized the significance of the initiative “Happiest Pinoy reflects our enduring belief that Filipinos are inherently hopeful, joyful, and resilient. It remains a powerful platform to honor individuals who embody the true Filipino spirit—those whose boundless joy uplifts others, even in the face of life’s toughest challenges.”
Launched in 2009, Happiest Pinoy is a flagship advocacy of Cebuana Lhuillier that champions the Filipino spirit of optimism despite life’s many challenges. After a five-year break, its much-awaited return has already drawn more than 400,000 nominations, proving just how much the message still resonates with Filipinos everywhere.
This year’s search introduces a broader and more inclusive set of categories, recognizing inspiring individuals from all walks of life. These include Masayahing Gen Z, honoring the optimism and energy of today’s youth; Happy at 60, celebrating seniors who embody joy and grace; No Way Kapansanan, recognizing persons with disabilities who inspire through perseverance; Inspiradong Champion, spotlighting employees who uplift their peers; Bagong Bayani, Hatid Sigla, a tribute to OFWs spreading joy across borders; Bibo sa Negosyo, for entrepreneurs making a difference in their communities; Proud as Pride, celebrating LGBTQIA+ individuals whose happiness inspires courage and inclusivity; and Creative Pinoy, honoring artists and creatives who spread joy through their craft.
Two special categories have also been introduced: Katutubo (TRIBO), which honors indigenous individuals and communities, and Happiest Ka-Cebuana, which recognizes long-time loyal clients of Cebuana Lhuillier.
The Happiest Pinoy search is open to all Filipinos who consistently demonstrate a cheerful disposition, have overcome personal challenges, and inspire others through their positivity. Entries can be submitted in a variety of ways:

Participants are also welcome to submit their stories in creative formats such as scrapbooks, vlogs, or short films.
The campaign honors inspiring individuals with well-deserved recognition and generous cash prizes. The grand winner will receive ₱500,000 tax-free, while each of the eight category winners will receive ₱35,000, and the two special awardees will each take home ₱25,000—all tax-free.
