Young Tomasinos showcased their knowledge and skills in the Environmental Quiz Bee held in celebration of Philippine Environment Month on June 19, 2025, at SM City Sto. Tomas. The event was spearheaded by the City Environment and Natural Resources Office and warmly supported by Mayor Atty. Arth Jhun Aguilar Marasigan, Vice Mayor Catherine Jaurigue-Perez, and members of the Sangguniang Panlungsod.
The activity aimed to deepen the youth’s understanding of environmental topics such as Mt. Makiling, Mt. Malepunyo, the San Juan River, Gen. Miguel Malvar, and the City of Sto. Tomas itself. It also served as a platform to highlight the intelligence and excellence of Tomasino youth.
Four schools from the city participated, with a total of 30 students or 15 pairs representing San Pedro National High School, San Jose National High School, Sta. Anastacia-San Rafael National High School, and Sta. Clara Integrated National High School.
This event stands as proof that even at a young age, Tomasino youth already show concern for the environment and are eager to learn, participate, and rise to the challenge of protecting nature.
