Leadership Summit 2025: Cebuana Lhuillier Champions Future-Ready Leadership

PJ Lhuillier, Inc. (PJLI), the parent company of Cebuana Lhuillier, reaffirmed its commitment to future-focused leadership with the 2025 PJL Leadership Summit. Held in two batches and attended by over 300 leaders nationwide, the event was designed to build strategic foresight, leadership clarity, and a culture of innovation—key to driving inclusive growth across the organization.

“We are empowering our leaders not just to adapt to the future, but to shape it,” said Jean Henri Lhuillier, President and CEO of Cebuana Lhuillier. “By strengthening leadership from the inside out, we can continue building a company that brings inclusive financial solutions to more Filipinos across the nation.”

Ambassador Philippe Jones Lhuillier, Chairman and Founder of Cebuana Lhuillier, also addressed participants across both batches. “Leadership is about making decisions that uplift people,” he shared. “If those decisions lead to growth, purpose, and happiness—then you’re leading right.”

Carrying the theme “Business Beyond PJ Lhuillier: Empowering Leaders for Tomorrow, Today,” the summit offered immersive experiences and real-world learning designed to equip PJLI leaders to drive innovation, collaboration, and impact.

In Batch 1, keynote speaker Anthony Pangilinan, CEO of BusinessWorks and a well-known expert in personal development, opened the summit by emphasizing unity and a deeper appreciation of PJL’s journey—setting the tone for reflection, clarity, and team alignment. Batch 2 was headlined by Tony Lambino, President and Trustee of Ayala Foundation, who underscored that true leadership is revealed in moments of uncertainty—by staying rooted in purpose while boldly navigating change.

Plenary speakers across both batches included Paco Magsaysay, Founder of Carmen’s Best Ice Cream, who shared how he turned legacy and tradition into forward-looking innovation, and JV Wong, Chief Executive Igniter of People Ignite, who explored how humanized communication remains essential in the face of digital disruption. A session on empowering high-performing teams was delivered in Batch 1 by Arnie Alvarez, Chief Technology Officer of Huawei, and in Batch 2 by Abe Cuevas, Regional Vice President and Country General Manager of Salesforce.

Complementing the plenaries were breakout sessions led by leadership experts Mondo Castro, Frances Acu, and Bryl Zenarosa, tackling topics from personal growth and team culture to decision-making in the age of AI. On Day 2, participants took part in activities such as the Synergy Sprint team challenge and the “PJL Breakthrough Lab”—designed for high-impact collaboration and real-world solutioning.

“The summit is a powerful reminder that when we invest in people, we invest in the future of our company,” said Jo-Ann Tacorda, First Vice President and Group Head for Corporate Services. “It’s about leading with purpose, building with heart, and transforming with courage.” The summit concluded with the “Balloon Frenzy” celebration—a high-energy expression of collective unity, collaboration, and shared adaptability. The event was hosted by Boris Joaquin, CEO of Breakthrough Leadership and one of the Philippines’ top corporate educators, with Brian Sese, experienced learning and development strategist, serving as co-host. Gerry Plana, Chief Executive of Investors in People PH and a veteran in HR and organizational development, synthesized the summit learnings into a powerful call to action—urging leaders to turn insights into impact, and to champion a culture of innovation, inclusivity, and forward-thinking leadership across every level of the organization.
