August 15, 2025 — Established on August 15, 1972 at UP Diliman during the height of the student protest movement, Pi Sigma Fraternity will celebrate its 53rd national founding anniversary on August 16 at the Best Western Plus Hotel in Angeles City, Pampanga.
With a reiteration on its theme, “Serve the People, Be A Leader, Be a Sigman” the celebration will be highlighted by the Pi Sigma Fraternity Alumni Association Inc.’s Annual General Assembly before an evening of fellowship with some 150 members from different schools nationwide attending.
Some of Pi Sigma’s prominent members slated to attend are Rep. Terry Ridon of Bicol Saro, Foreign Affairs Assistant Secretary Elmer Cato, former Transportation Undersecretary Jeremy Regino, Arellano University’s civil law department chair Atty. Crisostomo Uribe, and Pampanga Chamber of Commerce President Atty. Paul Yusi.
Pi Sigma stands for the dual sword principles of “Paglingkuran ang Sambayanan” and “Paragon of Scholarship” tenets that helped mold its members, who have spread from UP Diliman to various chapters from Luzon to Mindanao throughout the years, to become patriotic and responsible citizens.
On top of encouraging academic and professional excellence, the fraternity is guided by a love of country and service to fellowmen.
With more than five decades as a service-oriented fraternity, Pi Sigma vows to continue to help strengthen civil society and contribute to nation-building.
Aside from the UP Diliman, delegates will come from the UP Los Baňos, UP Baguio, Pampanga, Tarlac, Pangasinan, La Union, Bicol, Iloilo, Koronadal, General Santos, and Davao.
