Continuing its mission to make healthy eating fun, practical, and delicious for Filipino families
Pasig City, Philippines – August 20, 2025 – Ajinomoto Philippines Corporation (APC) remains dedicated to bringing the joy of vegetable cooking and healthy eating to more Filipino homes as it continues the roll out of the I Love Veggie-Licious Caravan across Metro Manila and Luzon.
As APC continues its path towards the Ajinomoto Group’s 2030 outcomes — to help extend the healthy life expectancy of one billion people and to reduce our environmental impact by 50% — APC demonstrates that nutritious meals don’t have to be expensive or complicated — they can be accessible, hassle-free, and above all, delicious, especially when seasoned with Ajinomoto brands.
The I Love Veggie-Licious Caravan has been an ongoing initiative by APC since early this year which kicked off in Quezon City, successfully running in 3 barangays and engaging about 750 residents. In addition, the I Love Veggie-Licious School Caravan is also in full swing, engaging grade school learners on the importance of eating vegetables through fun games and activities. Last year, the caravan successfully reached a total of 5,900 grade school students and 650 parents, making a meaningful impact on promoting healthy eating habits.
This August, the I Love Veggie-Licious Caravan resumed in Sta. Lucia, Pasig City welcoming over 300 Pasigueños who enjoyed a morning of cooking demo, nutrition education, and family-friendly activities.
For the next two months, the caravan will be visiting more communities in Laguna, Bulacan, Quezon and Pangasinan.
A Movement with a heart for hearty and nutritious meals
Aligned with APC’s Eat Well, Live Well philosophy, the I Love Veggie-Licious Caravan is part of the company’s deeper commitment to championing nutrition and wellness in Filipino households. Through interactive cooking demonstrations, the event showcased practical veggie-based recipes that fit the Filipino palate, enhanced with AJI-NO-MOTO® Umami Seasoning to make healthy meals more delicious.
Nutrition tips were also shared by APC’s experts, emphasizing balanced eating and ways to make vegetables more appealing to children. Some of the science backed and mom approved strategies to make kids love vegetables is to start exposing them early to healthier food options. Moms could also be creative in terms of presentation, making the recipes look fun and colourful to work up kids’ appetite. Flavors that children already love like cheese or ketchup could also be added to vegetable dishes. As a parting note, APC’s registered nutritionist dietitian reminded attendees that kids aged 3 to 5 years old need at least a ½ cup of vegetables per meal while children aged 6 to 9 years old need ¾ cup and adults need 1 cup.
The program also featured APC’s brand line up, showing attendees the many possibilities of transforming ordinary recipes into Veggie-Licious meals that are good for kids and the whole family.
The Future is Healthy!
With each caravan stop, APC fortifies its role as a committed partner in helping Filipino families live healthier lives. The I Love Veggie-Licious Caravan will continue to work with more communities in the coming months, harping on the message that eating vegetables can be delicious, nutritious and sustainable.
“Our aim is to inspire more families to welcome vegetables to their daily meals. Through the I Love Veggie-Licious Caravan, APC’s commitment to enhancing taste, nutrition, including sustainability deliciously meld in every plate served at home,” shares APC President Koichi Ozaki.
