Foundever® in the Philippines launches e-waste drop box initiative to promote environmental sustainability

Foundever®, a global leader in the customer experience (CX) industry, is taking a crucial step toward environmental responsibility through an on-site e-waste drop box initiative in all its location across the Philippines, demonstrating the company’s commitment to sustainable practices and responsible waste management in the workplace.

The program is being spearheaded by Vice President for Human Resources, Talent Acquisition and Marketing Willy Lim and Site Director Filipina Barbo, and was launched in July at Foundever in Pasig at Technopoint.

“Environmental sustainability is not just a corporate responsibility, it’s a shared commitment that extends to every member of our ever-growing Foundever family,” said Willy Lim. “We’ve taken our partnership further with HMR Envirocycle Philippines, our partner for IT-related waste, by providing our employees with convenient and responsible ways to dispose of electronic waste. Through this, we’re taking meaningful action toward protecting our environment while fostering a culture of sustainability within our workplace.”

HMR Envirocycle Philippines is a Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR)-accredited e-waste recycling company that specializes in the proper processing and disposal of electronic waste materials. The collaboration ensures that all collected electronic devices and components are handled according to environmental regulations and industry best practices.

“We’re proud to partner with a sustainability-driven company like Foundever. This collaboration not only supports their commitment to national and global standards on climate action and e-waste management, but also reinforces our shared goal of reducing emissions through repair, reuse, and recycling. HMR Envirocycle fully supports the company’s science-based GHG targets with measurable emission reductions per asset,” said Paolo Olbes, Sustainability Director of HMR Envirocycle Philippines. The e-waste drop box will accept various electronic items including old mobile phones, tablets, laptops, batteries, and other electronic devices, providing employees with a convenient and environmentally responsible disposal option. Through this partnership with HMR Envirocycle Philippines, Foundever ensures that collected materials are properly recycled and processed in compliance with DENR standards.

This environmental initiative aligns with the broader commitment of Foundever to sustainability and reflects the company’s ongoing efforts to create a positive impact within the communities where it operates. The program represents another step in the comprehensive approach of Foundever to corporate social responsibility, complementing its existing workforce development and community engagement initiatives.
