As it celebrates its 45th year, the Credit Card Association of the Philippines (CCAP) continues to lead the industry through programs and advocacies that strengthen the credit card ecosystem while promoting consumer protection, financial literacy, and digital innovation. Working closely with regulators, industry stakeholders, and consumers, CCAP remains at the forefront of shaping policies and initiatives that support a secure, inclusive, and responsible payments environment.

Industry Security
CCAP leads industry-wide initiatives to combat fraud through real-time intelligence sharing, adoption of global security standards, and partnerships with regulators, law enforcement, and telecommunications companies. It also spearheads the annual Pilipinas Fraud Awareness Week, a nationwide campaign promoting responsible card use and scam awareness.

Financial Literacy
Financial education is a core advocacy of CCAP. Programs include #FightBudol, financial education videos with influencers, and a partnership with Visa. CCAP also created simplified credit card terminologies on TikTok and Facebook under BSP supervision, and is developing a Credit Card 101 e-learning module with BSP’s E-Learning Academy (BELA). On-ground, it conducts Credit Card 101 talks in universities and companies, and partners with JCFAP to integrate credit education into student finance programs.

Digital Transformation & Policy Engagement
CCAP supports the adoption of emerging payment technologies, working with fintech and regulators to enhance innovation and security. As a key BSP partner, it actively participates in policy discussions, aligning industry positions on interest rate regulations, consumer protection, and payments modernization. It also implements the Interbank Debt Relief Program to support financially distressed cardholders.

Merchant Education
CCAP produced the CCAP Merchant Guide, which provides merchants with practical guidelines on fraud prevention and secure transaction handling.
