OEd (Online Education) brings together learners, leaders, and innovators for a night that redefines modern education.
Makati City, Philippines — Some gatherings simply unfold, and then there are those rare moments that ignite a spark. At The Fifth at Rockwell, the OEd (Online Education) community came together for Fusion. This evening seamlessly blended inspiring talks, meaningful conversations, and a celebration of what modern learning can be: accessible, forward-thinking, and deeply human.
From the moment guests stepped into the venue—many dressed in their best denim as a fun nod to the theme—the atmosphere was unmistakably OEd: warm, electric, and filled with a sense of connection. It was the kind of energy that only happens when learners, educators, leaders, and dreamers converge under one roof.

A Celebration of Learning That Adapts to Real Life
OEd (Online Education) has long been recognized for redefining what it means to study in the digital age, and Fusion has proven why the institution continues to shape the future of Philippine education.
While most events focus on formality, Fusion dared to be different—it felt like a community gathering, a celebration, and a learning festival all at once. It captured the heart of OEd’s mission: empowering every Filipino learner through flexibility, technology, and genuine connection.
A Program That Fed Both the Mind and the Spirit
The night unfolded in thoughtful layers, beginning with an energetic opening number from OEd students and the warm, lively hosting of Nicole Hyala, whose personality instantly lifted the room. This was followed by welcome remarks from Christopher Satulan, who reflected on community, commitment, and how platforms like OEd continue to change lives one learner at a time. A message from Founder Dr. Amable C. Aguiluz IX, delivered by Oliver Vergara, honored OEd’s long-standing legacy—an education system designed to adapt to students, not the other way around.
Guests were then treated to a thoughtfully curated lineup of speakers: Ericson Del Castillo, who explored The Future of Work Skills and how learners can stay competitive in a rapidly shifting world; Coach JC Libiran, who emphasized The Importance of Ethical
Behavior in the Workplace as a foundation for meaningful, values-based success; and Cleo Viray, who closed the discussions with Re-Charge Mode: Caring for Your Mental Battery, a timely reminder to prioritize mental wellness amid everyday demands.
Adding warmth and flair to the program were intermission performances from powerhouse vocalist Sephy Francisco, whose seamless dual-voice talent never fails to amaze, and the soulful Nolo Lopez, known for his heartfelt, uplifting stage presence. Their performances provided just the right moments to pause, breathe, and reconnect before diving back into the evening’s insights.
A Night That Ended With Community and Celebration
Fusion capped off with an Acquaintance Party that brought together SHS, Undergraduate, and Postgraduate students, including parents and OEd partners, in one joyful mix. It was a night of dancing, photos, laughter, and unapologetic fun—proof that even an online academic community can feel deeply personal and connected.
More Than an Event—A Reminder of Why Education Must Evolve
Fusion was more than a program; it was a declaration that education must continue evolving. OEd (Online Education) stays committed to its vision: learning that adapts to real life, champions flexibility, and empowers Filipinos no matter where they are in their journey.
