Optum Philippines ends 2025 with multiple distinctions

MANILA, PHILIPPINES, December 18, 2025 — Optum Philippines closed 2025 with three major recognitions: inclusion in the Philippine Daily Inquirer and Statista’s list of Best Employers in the Philippines, multiple honors from the Asia Pacific Enterprise Awards (APEA), and the Exporter of the Year Award from the Philippine Economic Zone Authority (PEZA).

These achievements underscore the organization’s commitment to excellence, innovation and its people‑first culture, while advancing its mission to help people live healthier lives and make the health system work better for everyone.

“We are truly honored to receive these recognitions as we conclude a successful 2025, which reflects how Optum continues to champion Filipino health care talent on the global stage,” said Samarth Mathur, managing director of Optum Philippines and Puerto Rico. “We place great value on leadership and empowering our people to grow, both professionally and personally. These awards represent that dedication and will hopefully inspire more accomplishments in 2026 and beyond.”

Last September, Optum was named one of the Best Employers in the Philippines by the Philippine Daily Inquirer and research firm Statista. The list includes 300 companies across government agencies, public institutions and non-traditional workplaces. Rankings are based on surveys conducted by Statista, incorporating 700,000 employee recommendations. Optum is placed 103rd this year, rising 13 spots from its ranking last year. The recognition highlights the company’s continued growth as the Philippines’ largest health care global capability center.

Optum also earned three honors from this year’s Asia Pacific Enterprise Awards (APEA) under the Healthcare, Pharmaceutical and Biotechnology category: Corporate Excellence, Fast Enterprise and Inspirational Brand. These awards recognize achievements in talent development, business performance and brand impact. Optum is recognized for the second consecutive year by APEA, reflecting its commitment to leading with integrity, acting with compassion, and driving innovation and performance at every level.

To cap off a milestone year, Optum received the Exporter of the Year Award during PEZA’s 30th Investors’ Recognition Night. PEZA awards organizations based on its Ecozone Monthly Performance Report, honoring companies that significantly contribute to national growth while promoting innovation, sustainability and strong corporate citizenship.

As the new year approaches, Optum remains focused on elevating global industry standards with Filipino talent at the forefront, driving transformative solutions that shape the future of health worldwide.
