Spanish DJ Hugo Capablanca to hold artist talk at Instituto Cervantes ahead of UNKNWN Festival

This Saturday, February 21 at 6:00 PM, the Intramuros branch of the Instituto Cervantes will host a special talk by Hugo Capablanca, an acclaimed Spanish DJ, music producer, and visual artist currently based in Berlin.

The event serves as a prelude to this UNKNWN Festival’s 10th edition, bringing audiences an intimate encounter with one of the most eclectic figures in contemporary electronic culture.

Hugo Capablanca is one of Berlin’s most exquisite DJs, and a key figure in the underground scene, as well as the founder of the cult record imprint Discos Capablanca.

In a relaxed and engaging conversation held in English, Capablanca will share insights into his creative journey, spanning his work as a DJ, his distinctive approach to music production, and his parallel explorations in the visual arts. Known for his boundary‑pushing style and international trajectory, Capablanca promises an inspiring talk for music lovers, creatives, and festival‑goers alike.

After his talk at the Instituto Cervantes, the Spanish DJ will be one of the guest stars performing at the UNKNWN Festival, which will take place in the Jardines de Puerta Real.

This event ispresented by the Embassy of Spain in the Philippines, Instituto Cervantes de ManilaAECID Philippinesand theIntramuros Administration, in collaboration with theGoethe‑Institut Philippines.

Admission for the talk (not for the festival) is free, and attendees are encouraged to come early due to limited seating.
