VIA GRAPHIC PLUS — A new dawn of Tongits action is set to commence this year when the leading card game developer in the Philippines GameZone parades a rebranded GameZone Tour with 36 challengers battling for a coveted title and the lion’s share of the ₱10,000,000 prize pool.
GameZone Tour traces its roots to a successful launch in 2024, when it was first introduced as the Tongits Champion Cup (TCC). The competition was later rebranded as the GameZone Tablegame Champions Cup (GTCC), staging two high-energy editions a year later, the Summer Showdown and the September Arena.
Both tournaments showcased elite Tongits play, highlighting precision, strategy, and high-level card game mastery from the country’s best competitors.
In 2026, GameZone Tour will intensify the competition by debuting the first of its four major seasons with the Tongits Plus Champions Cup (TPCC). The competition will house 36 elite Tongits masters, with one destined to be the Tongits champion. The winner will bring home half of the ₱10,000,000 tournament prize pool, happening on March 7 to 8 at PNB Financial Center in Pasay City.
The qualified players were selected from a pool of GameZone Tongits players, who have gone through rigorous multi-stage, 8-week-long online qualifiers to sort out the best of the best for the competition. The 36 elite players will have all expenses covered, including accommodation and travel support, as they gear up for the official start of the main battle.
Tongits Plus Champions Cup (TPCC) opens with a packed Day 1 featuring three rounds, beginning with the Elimination Round, where the top 12 finishers from a 36-player field will advance outright. The remaining 24 competitors will move on to the Revival Round, where half of them will earn a second chance to join the initial qualifiers in the next stage.
Capping off the opening day is the Promotional Round, which will determine the elite nine players who will advance and continue their title quest on the final day of the tournament.
Bouncing off the momentous Day 1 of the tournament, Day 2 will begin with the Semifinal. This stage will witness the nine remaining players competing for the three prestigious seats in the last round. Concluding the TPCC, the Grand Stage will crown the best tongits skilled player of the tournament who will emerge as the champion, alongside the awarding of major prizes and final ranking.
A side tournament will also take place, apart from the main competition, where players will vie for a share of the ₱500,000 prize pool.
