PCPPI supports LLDA solid waste recovery mission in Quezon City

via GRAPHIC PLUS — Pepsi-Cola Products Philippines, Inc. (PCPPI) supported the Abot-Kamay Para sa Laguna de Bay: Mission in Action – Solid Waste Recovery initiative led by the Laguna Lake Development Authority (LLDA), reinforcing its commitment to environmental stewardship and community partnership.

Held at Sitios Riverview and View River in Barangay Batasan Hills, Quezon City, the cleanup effort gathered around 300 volunteers from various organizations who worked together to remove plastic waste and other debris from waterways that flow into Laguna de Bay. The activity resulted in the recovery of approximately 1,140 kilograms of waste, helping prevent further pollution of the lake system.

Representing PCPPI at the event, Environment, Health, Safety & Security (EHSS) Principal Engr. Fernando Ramos reaffirmed the company’s commitment to environmental protection and pledged continued support for LLDA initiatives that protect vital water systems and surrounding communities.

PCPPI also provided refreshing beverages to help keep volunteers hydrated throughout the activity.

The collaboration forms part of PCPPI’s broader environmental, social, and governance (ESG) commitments, including participation in LLDA’s Adopt-a-River program and ongoing efforts to reduce pollution and promote responsible water stewardship in communities connected to the lake system.
