How the M-Commerce Running Club is redefining workplace wellness

via GRAPHIC PLUS — In a fast-paced work culture where deadlines move quickly and targets are constant, finding balance can feel like a challenge. The M-Commerce Running Club was created to answer that need—not just as a fitness initiative, but as a shared commitment to healthier, more connected teams.

Launched as a three-month wellness program running until April 29, 2026, the club brings movement into the middle of the workweek through Wednesday runs, monthly milestones, and friendly team challenges. But more than the structure, it’s the spirit behind it that makes the difference. It’s about building discipline and consistency in a way that feels empowering—not pressured.

After its high-energy kickoff last February 4, the Running Club rolled out two flexible formats to ensure everyone could participate, regardless of schedule or fitness level. Through STRAVA tracking, participants log their distance and pace—either during weekly Wednesday runs under the Non-Live Host format, or at their own convenient time under the Live Host format, with GPS-verified submissions. The goal isn’t perfection. It’s participation. It’s showing up.

And that’s where the heart of the initiative lies.

For many employees, the Running Club has become more than just a wellness program—it’s a reminder that they are valued beyond their output.

“This feels exciting,” Jeanne Latrell Bermall shared. “Of course, sometimes the workload can drown you, but knowing that we have this now, it’s exciting.” In the middle of packed schedules, the weekly run becomes a reset button—a chance to step outside, breathe deeply, and return with a clearer mind.

What’s even more powerful is the sense of community forming on the road. Titles and departments fade once everyone is running side by side. Encouragement replaces hierarchy. Familiar faces become teammates in a different way.

“Super fun. It’s so happy to see familiar faces and they’re still motivating you,” Raven Llagas said, capturing the simple joy of shared movement.

The M-Commerce Running Club also reflects a larger cultural shift—one that recognizes that performance and well-being are not opposing forces. They strengthen each other. By creating space for health, the organization strengthens resilience, focus, and morale.

“I think this is a great opportunity. We can spread a healthy lifestyle because 2026 is for healthy living, right?” Ivy Camano added, echoing a shared intention that extends beyond the program itself.

At its core, the M-Commerce Running Club is about building something sustainable. Not just stronger legs or faster paces—but stronger relationships, healthier habits, and a workplace culture rooted in care.

Because sometimes, the most meaningful progress doesn’t happen in boardrooms. It happens on sidewalks, in steady strides, with teammates who remind you that you’re not running alone.
