via GRAPHIC PLUS — The Chamber of Cosmetics Industry of the Philippines, Inc. (CCIP) formally opened its 2026 calendar with its 1st General Membership Meeting (GMM) held at the Garden Ballroom, EDSA Shangri-La Manila. The gathering brought together 225 representatives from member companies across the cosmetics value chain, alongside government partners and industry stakeholders.
The GMM marked the turnover ceremony and induction of Officers and new CCIP members, setting the tone for a year anchored on stronger collaboration between industry and government, and a shared commitment to responsible growth.
Passing the torch: reflecting on two years of leadership
Outgoing CCIP President Christine Michelle Reyes of Amway Philippines, L.L.C. expressed her gratitude to the Chamber for two productive years of collective work. She reflected on her leadership theme, “Elevating Beauty, Accelerating Growth,” reaffirming her dedication to strengthening the Philippine cosmetics industry through capability-building, partnerships, and trust in shared governance.
She closed by expressing confidence that the incoming Board of Trustees would carry the vision forward—and take it even further.
A new chapter: Empowering Growth, Inspiring Innovation
Newly inducted CCIP President Dr. Janina Gutierrez-Tan, CEO of Jradiance Corporation, outlined the Chamber’s guiding direction for 2026–2027: Empowering Growth. Inspiring Innovation.
She shared that all Board initiatives, plans, and programs for the year would be anchored on CCIP’s core pillars:
· C – Competitiveness through capacity building, regulatory compliance, and skills advancement
· C – Collaboration through community, connectivity, and collective industry impact
· I – Innovation driven by trends, technology, and transformation
· P – Prosperity through local and global growth, export readiness, and industry promotion
This framework positions CCIP to support members not only in navigating regulatory and market shifts, but also in scaling sustainably and competitively—both locally and internationally.
Ceremonial induction and pledges of commitment
The ceremonial charging of officers and Oath of Induction was facilitated by Nylah Rizza Bautista, Assistant Secretary of the Department of Trade and Industry – Competitiveness & Innovation Group.
While the Ceremonial Pledge of Commitment was led by Atty. Paolo Teston, Director General of the Food and Drug Administration.

Insightful discussions from key regulators
The GMM also featured a series of keynote talks and briefings from government partners, reinforcing CCIP’s role as a bridge between regulators and the cosmetics industry.
Atty. Paolo Teston delivered a keynote entitled “Navigating FDA Policies and Regulatory Priorities in 2026,” where he discussed reforms, action steps, and ongoing efforts to improve the ease of doing business while upholding high standards for consumer safety and alignment with ASEAN directives.
DTI Assistant Secretary Nylah Rizza Bautista presented “From Local to Global: How CIG Programs Support Philippine Cosmetic Brands,” highlighting initiatives that help local companies scale and compete internationally.
DTI-EMB Director Bianca Pearl Sykimte discussed Export Services as a Catalyst for MSME Global Expansion, detailing tools and support mechanisms available for cosmetics companies entering export markets.
Completing the program, Ana Trinidad Rivera, Director IV of CCHUHSRR, provided point-by-point Updates from the 42nd ASEAN Cosmetic Scientific Body (ACSB) and ASEAN Cosmetic Committee (ACC) Meetings held in Jakarta, Indonesia.
Strengthening the industry through dialogue
CCIP’s General Membership Meetings are held four times a year and serve as key platforms for business leaders, government partners, and stakeholders to exchange insights, address mutual concerns, stay informed on regulatory developments, and strengthen collaboration within the Philippine cosmetics industry.
With its first GMM of 2026, CCIP reaffirmed its commitment to building a more competitive, innovative, and globally ready cosmetics sector—driven by leadership, partnership, and shared purpose.
Engaging dialogue and industry collaboration
A moderated panel discussion and open Q&A session followed the keynote presentations, creating an interactive platform for members to directly engage with regulators and subject-matter experts. The session was moderated by Denice Sy and Liz Lanuzo, facilitating meaningful dialogue between CCIP members and panelists.
During the discussion, DTI-EMB Director Bianca Pearl Sykimte and FDA Director IV Engr. Ana Trinidad Rivera responded to supplemental questions from the audience, providing further clarity on export support programs, regulatory updates, and technical considerations relevant to the cosmetics industry. The exchange reflects CCIP’s commitment to transparency, education, and constructive engagement between industry and government.
