via GRAPHIC PLUS — What does it take to turn dreams into reality?
At Sisters of Mary School in Silang, Cavite, the answer lies at the intersection of opportunity and purpose. For the thousands of students who walk these halls, education isn’t just a requirement, it is a path to a limitless future.

But for years, that path came with challenges. Students like Erica, a Grade 11 learner who has been living on campus for nearly six years, remember having to share computers with limited access.
Today, that reality is changing. Through the efforts of Felicidad T. Sy Foundation, Inc., Fr. Al’s Children Foundation, Inc., the Sisters of Mary School, and private donors, students now have access to modern facilities designed to support their growth with the newly unveiled Felicidad T. Sy Hall Digital Transformation Center.

Sr. Mylene Arambulo, Principal of the Sisters of Mary School, said the center is not only an investment in infrastructure but in humanity itself. “This center will really address the needs in our society, not just in the Philippines but globally,” she said, emphasizing how education can motivate students to contribute meaningfully beyond their immediate communities.
This vision closely aligns with the FTSFI’s mission of uplifting youth through transformative education. At its core is the enduring belief of Felicidad T. Sy, affectionately known as “Nanang,” that education, coupled with hard work, is the foundation of a dignified life.
“My mother always said that education and hard work form the foundation of a dignified life,” shared Debbie Sy, Chairman of the Foundation’s Grants Committee. “This Digital Transformation Center is a living testament to that promise. It’s about giving every student the tools they need to succeed.”
Inside the center are classrooms equipped with advanced technologies focused on artificial intelligence, automation, cloud computing, and data analytics. The facility also motivates educators by enhancing their teaching methods through modern digital tools to further improve the school’s Technical-Vocational Education and Training programs.
For Erica, the Felicidad T. Sy Hall represents a turning point. Dreaming of becoming an interior designer, she sees the new facility as a source of motivation and possibility.
“Ngayon po mas pinaganda po, mas pina-high-quality po yung mga kagamitan dito, kaya we are more motivated. Mas marami po kaming matututunan dito,” she shared.

A proud alumna and Assistant Principal, Mary Luz Elopre, who once walked the same halls as the students, now stands as proof that education can change lives.
“This center will provide them with the technology and knowledge they need to be leaders in the digital world,” she said, reflecting how access to education can open doors not only for individuals but for entire communities.
From student dreamers to accomplished educators, the foundation’s work shows how one opportunity can ripple across generations.
FTSFI Executive Director Imelda Elido said the mission goes beyond academic success.
“We can already see that these students will not only succeed academically but will go on to become productive citizens and good children of God,” she said.
