Baguio City, Philippines–Thundr PH and Cordillera Pride Community Leaders (CPCL) kicked off Pride Month by formalizing a significant partnership aimed at fostering acceptance and inclusivity for the older LGBTQIA+ community in the Cordillera region. This collaboration represents a pivotal moment in the ongoing effort to make the Cordilleras a welcoming and inclusive destination for LGBTQIA+ individuals.
In a ceremonial event at Baguio City Hall, Mayor Benjamin Magalong administered the oath of office to the newly appointed officers of the Cordillera Pride Community. Amidst a backdrop of fluttering flags, these officers pledged their unwavering dedication to serving the community, embodying the unity and resilience of the Cordillera region. This Flag Raising Ceremony was a historic occasion, highlighting the community’s steadfast resolve to uphold pride and honor in service.
Thundr PH, the first-ever community app designed specifically for LGBTQIA+ individuals aged 35 and older in the Philippines, focuses on creating a safe space for meaningful connections, whether romantic or platonic. The partnership with CPCL underscores Thundr’s commitment to supporting the LGBTQIA+ community in the Cordilleras.
