Tahanan ng Kabataan ng Laguna conducts alternative livelihood training for residents

MAGDALENA, Laguna – In collaboration with the Provincial Special Livelihood Office (SLO), Tahanan ng Kabataan ng Laguna (TNKL) which is managed by the Provincial Social Welfare and Development Office (PSWDO) conducted alternative livelihood training for its residents held at the facility in Barangay Bungkol on 10 April 2025.

SLO staff taught said residents how to make tuna/pork empanada and liquid hand soap, the purpose of which is to provide new income-generating skills that they can make use of in putting up small home-based business when they graduate from the facility.

TNKL is a Department of Health-accredited drug rehabilitation center that serves as temporary shelter for youth under 18 years of age suffering from substance abuse.  Here, they undergo counselling, physical and psychological therapy, and other immersive programs to support them on their road to recovery.
