The stage is set for Araneta City’s grand Pride Month celebration on June 28
Araneta City proudly stands with the LGBTQIA+ community this Pride Month, embracing the theme “Love in Every Hue”—a celebration of authenticity, self-expression, and unity. True to its name as the City of Firsts, Araneta City continues to be a safe, inclusive space where love knows no bounds and every identity is welcomed with open arms.
“We are honoring the freedom to choose who we hold dear, to express ourselves fully, and to stand tall in the truth of our identities,” said Marjorie Go, Vice President for Marketing of Araneta City. “The City of Firsts is a safe space where we celebrate every person, regardless of who they are or who they cherish. Here at Araneta City, you are seen, you are appreciated, and you are loved.”
The highlight of Araneta City’s month-long Pride celebration comes on June 28 with “Love Laban sa Araneta”, to be held at Gateway Mall 1 in partnership with Pride PH. Part of the larger Quezon City Pride celebration, the event will run simultaneously with the Love Laban program at UP Diliman to serve as a massive gathering for the LGBTQIA+ community and allies in the metro.
This full-day affair features the Love Laban Pride Village, offering a festive mix of booths, interactive games, raffles, and show-stopping drag performances. The afternoon program brings the spotlight to acts like Pinoy drag superstar Maxie Anderson, The Addlib dance company, and a lineup of guest drag queens. Hosting duties will be led by real-life couple and influencers Kyo Quijano and Luigi Pacheco, along with other surprise hosts.
Araneta City’s Pride Month kicked off with a Rainbow Run by the aRUNeta Run Club on June 1, followed by Mindanao Pride’s Rainbow Trade Fair at Farmers Plaza from June 7 to 10. The fair showcased queer-owned businesses and advocacy-driven initiatives, in partnership with the Philippine LGBT Chamber of Commerce, Intersex Philippines, and the Quezon City Government. The celebration also included Rainbow Talks on June 10, which featured meaningful conversations on visibility, equality, and the lived experiences of LGBTQIA+ individuals.
Online, there’s the ongoing #StoryOfHue digital contest where lucky netizens can win an overnight stay for two at ibis Styles Manila Araneta City. Just check out the promo post on Araneta City’s Twitter page for details.
“As we celebrate Pride in all its color, we’ve curated a meaningful lineup of activities, performances, and promotions that honor the LGBTQIA+ community,” Go said. “This is our commitment: to foster a space where everyone can live boldly, authentically, and proudly—because love truly shines in every hue.”
