Escudero, who also served as guest of honor, urged all elected officials in Biñan City to carry out their sworn duties with a strong commitment to truth, justice, freedom, and peace.
At the event, all 12 winning city councilors who will form the 7th Sangguniang Panlungsod, took their with their respective barangay chairpersons.
Expressing his gratitude for the trust and support of his family, friends, and the people of Biñan City, Alonte reiterated his commitment to further build on the gains achieved by immediate past Mayor Walfredo “Arman” Dimaguila Jr. in the fields of education, health, sports, history, culture, and the arts.

Dimaguila, for his part, has just been elected Congressman for the lone district of Biñan City before Chief Justice Alexander G. Gesmundo.
HEALTH SERVICES

“We will ensure that each Biñanense will have access to quality and affordable medical services, from basic medical assistance to mental health support,” Alonte said.
The newly-elected mayor further stressed that under his watch, he will intensify the delivery of prompt health services in Biñan City by further improving the facilities and services available in Biñan City Hospital, as well as in primary care services in the city.
“We will make sure that no one is left behind when it comes to health. Every Biñanense must have access to honest, affordable, and compassionate medical care—from basic treatment to mental health support,” Alonte stressed.
As part of his commitment to improving the city’s healthcare system, Alonte announced that he will hold regular office hours at Biñan City Hospital to personally oversee its operations and ensure the needs of patients and healthcare staff are met.
This initiative is part of the mayor’s broader vision to build a healthier, more inclusive, and people-centered community for the city’s 440,000 residents.
SOCIAL PENSION
Biñan City Mayor Gel Alonte announced that more than 10,000 senior citizens in the city will receive their social pension by December.
During his first press conference as the third elected mayor of Biñan City, Alonte said that among his priority measures is increasing the reach of the city’s local senior citizen pension program.
Beginning this December, “waitlisted” senior citizens will be included in the city’s pension program, Alonte bared.
EDUCATION, FLOOD CONTROL

Biñan City Vice Mayor Dada Reyes said that under the Alonte administration, the city government will prioritize the setting up of a new Biñan City College.
Reyes, as presiding officer of the city’s Sangguniang Panglungsod, added that they will focus on the executive-legislative agenda mapped out for Biñan City in the first 100 days of the Alonte administration.
Central to their executive-legislative agenda is making sure that all services reach every household at the barangay level. Barangays will be actively involved in consultations regarding ordinances and programs of the Sangguniang Panglungsod.
Resolving flood control concerns in the Biñan City’s coastal barangays is another priority concern of the city government.
“We will resolve the flooding concerns of Barangay Dela Paz and other barangays proximate to Laguna de Bay in the first 100 days of my administration,” Alonte said.
He added: “Katunayan po ay may nag-donate na po sa atin ng pump na maaari nating magamit upang mahigop po ang tubig-baha. [We have a donated pump that will be use to suction off flood waters] in low-lying barangays.”
Additionally, Alonte committed to expand social services for various sectors, including persons with disabilities, and promoting an inclusive and safe community for all, including the LGBTQ+ community.
