Basic Incident Command System Training held in Santa Rosa City

SANTA ROSA CITY, Laguna – The Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (PDRRMO) of Laguna successfully conducted Basic Incident Command System (ICS) Training for the Provincial Safety Marshals of Laguna on 21-23 May 2025 at El Cielito Hotel in this city.

The strategically significant training was facilitated by certified ICS trainers from Laguna and was carried out under the full support and encouragement of Mr. Aldwin M. Cejo, Head of PDRRMO and was coordinated with the Office of Civil Defense CALABARZON.

The three-day training aimed to strengthen the participants’ capacity in disaster and emergency management by utilizing the standardized ICS framework. This system emphasizes effective command, control, and coordination of emergency response efforts. 

Core components included incident organization, defined roles and responsibilities, and operational planning, all designed to ensure a coordinated and efficient response to a wide range of incidents.

Said initiative is part of the province’s ongoing commitment to building resilience and enhancing public safety, ensuring that frontline responders are well-equipped to manage disasters and emergencies effectively.
