via Graphic Plus — While the streets of Cebu came alive with dance, music, and grand celebrations, NUSTAR Online chose to honor Sinulog in a quieter yet more meaningful way.
True to its commitment to uplifting Filipino communities through purposeful partnerships and service, NUSTAR Online extended its Sinulog celebration to Talisay City, Cebu. In collaboration with the city government, the brand distributed grocery packs and sacks of rice to hundreds of families from different barangays, bringing timely support to those who need it most.
The NUSTAR Online team was personally welcomed by City Mayor Samsam Gullas, City Councilor Atty. Dan Villaver, and City Social Welfare and Development Office Head Ms. Coleen Enajada, who also led the distribution. Their presence underscored the shared mission of compassion, unity, and recovery.
Adding warmth to the occasion, Talisay Cultural Dancers performed for the beneficiaries, proving that even without joining this year’s grand parade, the true spirit of honoring Señor Santo Niño lives on through giving, solidarity, and service.
Talisay City was among the areas heavily affected by Typhoon Tino. In December last year, the city government announced its decision to forego participation in this year’s Sinulog Grand Parade and instead redirect funds toward recovery efforts. It was within this context that NUSTAR Online saw an opportunity to stand with the city in this quiet but powerful celebration of faith and resilience.

Having formally strengthened its corporate social responsibility initiatives in the last quarter of 2025, NUSTAR Online identified Talisay City as a meaningful partner, aligning purpose with action during the Sinulog season.
“Sinulog embodies the Filipino spirit of faith, gratitude, and communal strength. As we honor this tradition, we are reminded that true celebration extends beyond festivity—it calls us to walk alongside those who are rebuilding and rising again. Our presence in Talisay is a reflection of NUSTAR Online’s commitment to the communities we serve. Giving back isn’t simply part of our agenda; it is woven into the very fabric of who we are as an organization,” said Krizia Cortez, Director of Public Relations of NUSTAR Online.
Audiences from all over the country can still experience the Sinulog spirit through NUSTAR Online: Exclusives, the brand’s lifestyle and magazine show. Hosted by Jercy Raine Cruz, the Cebu episodes premiere on January 23 on the official Facebook page www.facebook.com/nustaronline, featuring the vibrant Sinulog Festival, Cebu’s rich gastronomic culture, and a glimpse of why Cebu proudly holds the title Queen City of the South.
