Since the start of the lockdown, the SMFI team, specifically their education pillar conducted virtual home visits and interviews for SY 2020-2021 scholar-applicants– especially those who are scheduled during the quarantine period.

Erica Montealto Abella, the eldest among the three children of a taxi driver and a parking aide, topped 140 senior high school graduates of SKILLS-Cebu last May 5. She, along with 137 other graduates, are SM Foundation (SMFI) scholars for the School Year 2019-2020. Erica was under the tech-voc scholarship with a major in Home Economics.

Through hard work and determination, SM Foundation (SMFI) scholar Miel Carlo Reganit emerged as the class valedictorian and cum laude of BS in Civil Engineering Batch of 2020 at the University of Nueva Caceres (UNC) in Naga City.
