Via GRAPHIC PLUS — The DSWD Cash Assistance Payout was conducted from April 15–17, 2026, during which 1,680 registered tricycle drivers under the LTFRB received ₱5,000 each in financial assistance.
The program aims to help address the daily needs of drivers who have been greatly affected by the increase in petroleum product prices.
The successful implementation of the program was made possible through the cooperation of the Department of Social Welfare and Development, City Social Welfare and Development Office, Office of the Sangguniang Panlungsod, Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board, and City Tricycle Franchising and Regulatory Board.
Representatives from the national government also participated in the program, including Mr. Ernie T. Millave, representative of Governor Vilma Santos-Recto and Secretary Ralph Recto, as well as Dennis Collantes, representative of Congressman Atty. King Collantes.
The City Government, under the leadership of City Mayor Atty. Arth Jhun Aguilar Marasigan (AJAM), City Vice Mayor Catherine Jaurigue-Perez, and members of the Sangguniang Panlungsod, continues to support programs aimed at promoting the welfare and livelihood of every Tomasino.
