Via GRAPHIC PLUS — Leading Filipino creative agency GIGIL has won honors from The New York Festivals Advertising Awards, proving once again that unconventional ideas, when executed with passion and purpose, can boost client’s business and earn recognition on one of advertising’s respected global stages.
Widely regarded as one of the industry’s most respected award shows, The New York Festivals celebrate creative excellence by spotlighting campaigns that set the benchmark for innovation, effectiveness, and impact worldwide.
GIGIL’s wins include Canva’s “Kween Yasmin,” which brought home a silver in the Best Use of Social Media Influencer category. The campaign also earned a bronze in the subcategory User-Generated Content. The “Kween Yasmin” campaign resulted in Canva Pro’s assets being used by Filipinos over 1.6M times.
Meanwhile, GrabMart’s “Chicky” snatched a bronze in the NYF’in Funny category. This campaign led GrabMart to experience 227% faster week-on-week growth.

Completing the roster of recognition, Stresstabs “Assemble” was named a finalist in the Branded Content and Entertainment category. This campaign also earned more business for Stresstabs, making the brand overtake the market share of a leading vitamin for the first time in Stresstabs’ history.

GIGIL’s other pieces were also shortlisted 7 times, among them a film for Orocan, and an event to promote Season 2 of the Netflix series “Wednesday.” No Philippine agency this year had more work recognized by The New York Festivals than GIGIL.
“At GIGIL, we’ve never believed creativity and effectiveness should be separate goals. The work we’re most proud of is work that surprises people, gets talked about, and grows our clients’ businesses. We’re happy that competitions like The New York Festivals continue to recognize ideas that are both unconventional and effective,” said Badong Abesamis, Founding Partner of GIGIL.
These New York wins underscore that GIGIL’s creative work not only grows client’s business, but is also on par with the best of the world’s.
