Bargën, the first Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy System manufactured in Indonesia, officially launches in PH

Healthcare leaders, hospitals, government stakeholders, and financial institutions gather in Manila to witness the future of oxygen-based recovery technology

via GRAPHIC PLUS | MANILA, PHILIPPINES — A new era of recovery, regenerative wellness, and advanced oxygen therapy officially arrived in the Philippines as Mursmedic Philippines launched Bargën Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy (HBOT) through The Launching Event of Bargën: Discover. Explore. Experience. Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy — Exclusive Seminar & Immersive HBOT Experience at The Westin Manila.

Attended by over 50 healthcare professionals, hospitals, wellness centers, distributors, government representatives, and healthcare investors, the event introduced an innovation increasingly recognized for its ability to accelerate recovery, support wound healing, reduce inflammation, improve cellular regeneration, enhance rehabilitation, and contribute to wellness and anti-aging applications.

The launch event was graced by the visit and opening speeches of The Honorable Agus Trenggono from the Consulate General of the Republic of Indonesia in Davao City and The Honorable Rafail Walangitan from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Indonesia, highlighting the growing collaboration between Indonesia and the Philippines in advancing healthcare innovation and medical technology.

The launch brought together healthcare leaders, hospitals, government representatives, and industry stakeholders to explore the potential of HBOT in supporting recovery, rehabilitation, wound care, and regenerative wellness

The event was officially opened by Randy H. Teguh, MD, MM, Founder & CEO of Mursmedic Group. Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy (HBOT) is an advanced medical treatment where patients breathe pure oxygen inside a pressurized chamber higher than normal atmospheric pressure. The process significantly increases oxygen concentration throughout the body, helping stimulate tissue regeneration, neovascularization, immune response, and cellular repair. Bargën showcased its Monoplace HBOT Chamber designed for 1–2 patients, Multiplace HBOT Chamber featuring a dedicated emergency compartment that allows patients to safely exit without affecting pressure or interrupting therapy for others inside the main chamber, and Animal HBOT Chamber developed for veterinary applications and research purposes — highlighting the versatility of HBOT innovation across medical, rehabilitation, wellness, veterinary, and research settings.

The event was divided into three immersive segments: Discover, Explore, and Experience.

During the “Discover” session, Prof. Dr. Mohammad Guritno Suryokusumo, MD, SMHS, DEA — one of Indonesia’s leading expert figures in hyperbaric and underwater medicine and the scientific mind behind Bargën’s HBOT framework — delivered “The Grand Theory of Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy.” Honored by the National Academy of Medicine in Paris, France as Professor of Hyperbaric & Underwater Medicine, Prof. Guritno introduced the Guritno Adaptation System (GAS), an integrative framework combining Guritno’s Triate of Redox Hypothesis, Hormesis Hypothesis, and Hyperoxia-Hypoxia Hypothesis. From this framework, healthcare professionals can better understand the HBOT parameters, dosage guidelines, and treatment methods designed to help achieve optimal healing and recovery outcomes over time.

The “Explore” session featured Imam Subagyo B.Econ., MM, Co-Founder & Director of PT Mitra Multi Teknomedika, (the manufacturer of the Hyperbaric Chamber in Indonesia), through “Oxygen & Pressure Reimagined: HBOT Innovation in Practice,” exploring how HBOT technology can be integrated across hospitals, rehabilitation centers, wellness facilities, and future healthcare ecosystems.

The “Experience” segment invited participants to immerse themselves in the world of hyperbaric oxygen therapy through a 3D HBOT system showcase, a multiplace HBOT chamber replica complete with seating and oxygen mask replicas, and exhibitions from Indonesian healthcare technology partners across medical devices, telehealth, consumables, and electromedical solutions.

Participants remained highly engaged throughout the event, actively taking notes and participating enthusiastically during the Q&A sessions as many viewed HBOT as a promising innovation for hospitals, rehabilitation facilities, wellness centers, and patient recovery programs.

The event highlighted new opportunities for advancing patient care and healthcare investments in the country.

Participating institutions included St. Luke’s Medical Center, Philippine General Hospital, University of Santo Tomas Hospital, Ospital ng Makati, Philippine Hospital Association, and Philippine Wound Care Society, among others.

The event also welcomed Security Bank Corporation, represented by Bonbon Chua, Senior Assistant Vice President – Focus Segments Specialist. Through its healthcare ecosystem financing initiative, Security Bank explored financing support opportunities for healthcare institutions interested in adopting HBOT technology, helping improve accessibility to advanced healthcare investments in the Philippines.
