VIA GRAPHIC PLUS — Biñan City Mayor Gel Alonte participated in the Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) signing for the Metro Laguna Inter-Local Health Zone (MLILHZ), held on August 7 at Enchanted Kingdom in Santa Rosa City.
Among the signatories and partners to the agreement were the local governments of San Pedro, Biñan, Santa Rosa, and Cabuyao, together with the Provincial Government of Laguna, the Provincial Health Office, public hospitals, and the Department of Health Regional Office IV-A (CALABARZON).
The agreement aims to strengthen the relationship and cooperation among the participating LGUs in delivering more efficient and effective healthcare services.
Under the Metro Laguna Sub-Provincial Health System (SPHS), the participating LGUs will work together to organize, manage, and utilize health resources to strengthen primary care, referral systems, health facilities, human resources, and other support systems.
Through this inter-LGU cooperation, coordination among health facilities and local health offices in Metro Laguna is expected to be strengthened.
The agreement also includes the establishment of the Metro Laguna SPHS Board and the Technical Management Committee, which will lead the coordination, planning, and monitoring of integrated health services among the participating LGUs.
