Parents and students of a mountainous public school in Cebu were thankful for the assistance provided by Davao 1st District Rep. Paolo “Pulong” Duterte, in cooperation with the Pwersa ng Pilipinong Pandagat (PPP) in time for the opening of classes.
At least 118 students of Manghupi Elementary School in CarCar City, Cebu received the school supplies from Rep. Duterte and PPP in coordination with the Parent-Teacher United Advocates PH (PTUAAPI), during the recent opening of the National School Press Conference 2024 held in Cebu.
The Manghupi Elementary School is situated at the mountainous portion of the locality wherein students need to walk several kilometers in order to attend classes.
“Kami po ay taos puso na nagpapasalamat kay Rep. Duterte, PPP at PTUAAPI. Napakalaking bagay po ng mga school supplies na ito. Lalo na po sa Pwersa ng Pilipinong Pandagat (PPP) na nagkaloob pa ng ilang electric fans, para maibsan ang init habang kami ay nagka-klase (We are very much grateful to Rep. Duterte, PPP and the PTUAAPI. These school supplies mean a lot to our students. Specially to the PPP that provided us with electric fans, which could help lessen the class room heat during our classes),” said school principal Cherry Abellanosa.
