BAYANIHAN PERFORMS AT KOREAN DANCE FEST

Jeju Island, South Korea – World famous Bayanihan, the National Dance Company of the Philippines was among the guest performers during the 33rd Korea Dance Festival Showcase held at the Seogwipo Arts Center in Jeju Island, South Korea. The dance festival celebrates Korea’s traditional dances and songs and also features various dance groups from other countries.

Bayanihan, whose tour in Korea lasted from September 2-11, 2024 also performed in various communities and schools.  Through their dance and production numbers, Bayanihan members shared the Philippines’ rich cultural heritage not only to Koreans but also to visitors who travelled to Korea to witness the Dance Festival. In previous years, Bayanihan has won the grand prize in the World Dance Festival held in Korea.

Started in 1927, the Philippines Graphic is the longest-running printed magazine of national circulation that provides relevant news and features and promotes Philippine literature.
