Bell-Kenz Pharma strengthens Sagip CPR advocacy with Quezon City

Advances mission to train one million Filipinos

VIA GRAPHIC PLUS — Bell-Kenz Pharma officially launched its Sagip CPR partnership with the Quezon City Government through the Quezon City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (QCDRRMO), marking Quezon City as the first local government unit in Metro Manila to join the company’s flagship life-saving advocacy campaign.

The initiative commenced with a large-scale Hands-Only Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) and Automated External Defibrillator (AED) training, equipping participants with essential emergency response skills that can significantly improve survival during cardiac emergencies while awaiting professional medical assistance.

During the program, QCDRRMO representative Bianca D. Perez underscored the importance of disaster preparedness amid recent emergencies, including the effects of Super Typhoon Inday and the Dipaculao, Aurora incident, emphasizing that “preparedness must begin before disaster happens.”

She highlighted that strengthening community readiness through practical life-saving skills remains an essential component of building safer and more resilient communities.

The training was led by Dr. Maria Bridget Donato, who discussed the fundamentals of Hands-Only CPR and emphasized the importance of making CPR education more accessible to the public.

Echoing the advocacy of the CPR Council, the session reinforced that widespread CPR training plays a vital role in improving the management of cardiovascular emergencies and increasing the likelihood of saving lives.

As part of the program, Bell-Kenz Pharma Corporate Branding and Public Affairs Head Patrick Larraga shared the progress of the Sagip CPR campaign, revealing that the organization has already trained nearly 60,000 Filipinos as it works toward its long-term goal of equipping one million individuals nationwide with CPR knowledge.

“The more Filipinos know about CPR, the safer the country becomes,” Larraga said, adding that Bell-Kenz Pharma plans to further expand the campaign through strategic collaborations with more local government units, institutions, and community organizations across the Philippines.

As Bell-Kenz Pharma celebrates 20 years of advancing healthcare through advocacy and service, the Sagip CPR campaign continues to promote a culture of preparedness by empowering ordinary citizens with practical life-saving skills.

Through sustained partnerships and community-based training programs, the company remains committed to making emergency response education more accessible and helping build healthier, safer, and more resilient communities nationwide.
