Hi-Precision Diagnostics (HPD), the country’s leading medical laboratory, has received its COVID Testing Lab accreditation to perform the Polymerase Chain Reaction (PCR) test, which is the gold standard in COVID-19 confirmatory testing. With this accreditation, HPD intensifies its mission to serve with compassion and provide quality healthcare for the Filipino people.
The COVID Testing Lab accreditation is an outstanding achievement, indeed, for the HPD team, which is proud and honored to play an active role in the country’s initiative of augmenting its daily testing capacity to combat the COVID-19 pandemic.
Despite time restrictions, the HPD team was able to complete and comply with all requirements associated with the on-site inspection, documentation, proficiency testing, facilities, equipment, workflow, and biosafety standards.
Several healthcare authorities carried out the vigorous five-day accredition, led by the World Health Organization (WHO), Department of Health (DOH), and the Research Institute of Tropical Medicine (RITM).
The PCR test will initially be performed by June 3, through HPD’s partnership with the local government units of Pasig and Valenzuela.
Joint efforts with Quezon City LGUs will also be happening soon. However, details for the availability of PRC testing for walk-in patients have yet to be announced.
