The Ambassador’s itinerary included a tour of Tsuneishi Heavy Industries, Inc., a prominent Japanese shipbuilding company located in Balamban, Cebu. He then met with Cebu Governor Gwendolyn Garcia, where both parties committed to fostering closer cooperation in various fields including economic development, education, and tourism.

Following the ceremony, he met with Presidential Assistant for the Visayas (OPAV), Undersecretary Roberto Calatrava. During the courtesy call, the Ambassador reiterated Japan’s dedication to promoting friendly relations between Japan and the Philippines, especially in deepening exchanges between Cebu, the Visayas region and Japan.
