In celebration of Improved Postal ID’s 2nd year, Philippine Postal Corporation (PHLPOST) held a Corporate Social Responsibility Event last Saturday, May 19, 2018 dubbed as “Postal ID, Twice the Fun Kaarawan”.
Postal ID sponsored a community with the help of Gawad Kalinga (GK) – a community development foundation whose mission is to end poverty.
Hilario Sr. and Cristina Salas GK Village – a GK community in Sta. Ursula Betis, Pampanga – are selected as the recipient of this year’s corporate social event. The beneficiaries of this village are the ones prone to dangers of flooding. Their sources of livelihood are fishing, buy and sell of scrap materials, and scavenging.
The said event conducted a free capture of 30 pre-selected applicants, feeding program of underprivileged children, letter writing activity, and giving out of school supplies to the children of the chosen GK community.
This activity aims to present PHLPOST’s history, accomplishments, and establish stability and worth of the Improved Postal ID.
Furthermore, this is to encourage users to participate by disseminating information through effective service.
