How SM’s loyalty program caters to its market by being a ‘little bit extra’

Shopping smart is when you buy what you want and earn points for your next shopping run.

Fitting within your wallet is a card filled with rewarding shopping experiences at well-loved brands.

SMAC is SM’s loyalty program where the journey starts and ends with understanding their customers.

This is how they do it.

  1. Be accessible – Knowing and recognizing who their members are is at the core of SMAC. With an expansive customer base nationwide, and going beyond demographics, accessibility is a must.

Becoming a member is easy and free with SMAC. Offering a three-tiered membership, you can conveniently start with SMAC Start. You can get points for shopping at the SM Store, SM Markets, and other retail partners and enjoy experiences at Entertainment and SM Hotels.

If you are into discounts and exclusive perks, you can choose SMAC – this is the blue one where you only have to pay 200php and the card is already valid for five years. When you reach a certain amount, you will be automatically upgraded to SMAC Prestige giving you access to lounge rooms and courtesy checkout lanes.

  1. Be exclusive – Exclusivity in the form of “rewards, discounts, freebies, and delightful experiences,” makes becoming a member even more fun.

The SM Store’s 3-Day Sale with 10% off makes shopping an even more exciting errand. Becoming a member also allows you access to members-only sale events.

  1. Be with the right partners – One of the strengths of SMAC is not only its extensive customer base but equally diverse partners – retail and beyond. These brands “share SMAC’s passion and commitment to rewarding their most loyal customers.”

SMAC’s partners include SM Store and its retail affiliates, SM Supermarket, PLDT Home Rewards, Shell Select, and Philippine Airlines Mabuhay Miles.

Giving a “little bit extra” rewards to its loyal customers allows SMAC to create a community that makes shopping beautifully rewarding.
