This summer, BGC Arts Center is collaborating with acclaimed musical director, Rony Fortich, for some musical theater workshops.

These workshops are designed to help aspiring performers and theater enthusiasts get a deeper understanding of the exciting world of musicals.

Best known for his 12-year stint as Hong Kong Disneyland’s Musical Director, Rony Fortich will be in BGC Arts Center the whole month of May to conduct the following workshops:

Song Interpretation (Ages 8-12, 13-18, 19 and above)

With separate modules for kids, teens and adults, this workshop will help students level up their performances by understanding each musical piece. Students will be analyzing melodies, interpreting lyrics, and most importantly, making sure the message is conveyed properly to an audience. Classes are every Monday, Wednesday and Friday with a recital on May 26.

Audition Workshop (open to all ages)

This class aims to cover everything from the importance of song choice to how you present yourself to understanding where your strengths lie and how to best show this to a panel.

Students should prepare themselves for a mock audition. There are two batches available on Saturdays starting April 27, with two sessions each.
