Fortune Life Insurance Company joined the 74th Anniversary Celebration of the Philippine Life Insurance Association, Inc. (PLIA) on July 30, 2024 at Dusit Thani Manila. The event was graced by Department of Finance Secretary Ralph Recto and Insurance Commissioner Reynaldo Regalado.

During his keynote address, Finance Secretary Recto urged the PLIA members, saying, “Let us aggressively innovate, educate, and advocate life insurance in a manner that every Filipino recognizes its indispensable importance. As your theme tonight so aptly states: Reach out, reach far, and reach wide.”

According to him, it is high time to redefine life insurance in the hearts and minds of the public, not a mere transaction but a selfless act of love that they can bestow upon their families. “Hindi lang ito dapat tingnan na isang gastos. Hindi lang ito para sa may-kaya. At hindi lang ito napapakinabangan kapag pumanaw na ang isang mahal sa buhay.

Representing Fortune Life were EVP-Chief Operating Officer and PLIA Board Director Emma Abad, VP-Investment Officer Andrew Nicholas Cabangon, Consulting Actuary and former PLIA President Evelyn Carada, and SAVP for Information Technology Alvin Dela Cruz.

Fortune Life is part of the ALC Group of Companies founded by the late Amb. Antonio L. Cabangon Chua and currently chaired by D. Edgard A. Cabangon.
