Aliw Broadcasting Corporation has sealed a 3-year partnership with TV Maria, the Filipino Catholic TV channel, to provide a dedicated block of Catholic programming on Aliw Channel 23. The new lineup, which began airing on September 8, 2024, features uplifting and faith-centered content every Sunday from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM.
The contract signing was attended by key representatives from both organizations. Fr. Joselito Jopson, President of TV Maria, signed the agreement with D. Edgard Cabangon, Chairman of Aliw Broadcasting Corporation. They were joined by Benjamin V. Ramos, President of Aliw Broadcasting Corporation, and Sharon Joy Isla, Producer of TV Maria.
This collaboration marks a significant step in Aliw Channel 23’s ongoing efforts to diversify its programming, catering to a wider audience with meaningful, spiritual, and family-friendly content. The Sunday block features TV Maria’s signature programs, including Misa Nazareno, Lakbites hosted by Kat Diaz, Trip ni ‘Dre hosted by Fr. Roy Bellen, and Tastetimony, co-hosted by Fr. Hans Magdurulang and Fr. Roy Bellen. These shows aim to promote faith, culture, and community across the nation.
In an interview, Fr. Joselito Jopson, President of TV Maria, shared the importance of the collaboration, “Nawa ay maging instrumento ito ng paghubog ng ating mga kapatid na Pilipino. Malaki ang maidudulot ng partnership na ito sa paghuhubog ng pananampalataya.” He further expressed gratitude on behalf of the Archdiocese of Manila, “Kami ay lubos na nagpapasalamat dahil makakaabot po sa mas maraming tao ang mabuting balita at ang mga turo ng simbahan.”
