As October rolled in, newsfeeds on Facebook burst with posts from aspiring politicians eyeing the 2025 midterm elections with a number of fresh faces and also veterans in the political arena.
Among the many who filed their certificate of candidacy (COC), one that caught the netizens’ attention was Vice Ganda’s endorsement of a newbie in politics.
During Vice Ganda’s concert last October 5, many were surprised by Vice early endorsement, where he raised the hand of Angkas Moto (MC) Taxi Chief Executive Officer (CEO) George Royeca.
Royeca is the nominee of the Ang Kasangga Party-list, a new name among those vying for seats in the 2025 elections.
“I would like to ask for your support for George and the Ang Kasangga Party-list. This will surely benefit the riders in the country because their intentions are pure and genuinely aimed at helping the riding public,” Vice Ganda appealed during his concert at the Cuneta Astrodome.
Royeca on his part was also quoted as saying that this early he already have plans that would greatly benefit both the riders and the MC taxi passengers.
“Even now, I’m already studying the laws that would greatly help the riders in the country, especially the motorcycle taxis, who need the government’s care and attention,” Royeca said.
