World Vision brings Holiday cheer to kids in Malabon

Everyone deserves to experience a joyous holiday celebration this Christmas season, even children living in vulnerable circumstances. World Vision, a Christian humanitarian organization, made sure of this when it recently held a Noche Buena Distribution event at the Malabon Amphitheater, giving away a total of 1,300 packages during the whole-day event.

The Noche Buena Distribution is part of World Vision’s “Christmas Hope in Every Home” campaign where sponsors can give a one-time donation of at least Php1,000. The amount provides a Christmas pack for the sponsored child and another child without a sponsor yet so they can share it with their families on Christmas eve. This year, World Vision aims to give away Noche Buena Gifts to at least 24,000 children.

Joining the distribution event in Malabon were World Vision ambassadors including celebrity couple Juancho and Joyce Pring-Triviño, and athlete Zachi Chua.

Meanwhile, Zachi reminded the kids to give what is in their heart: “That can include your time, you can also give your help. When you help others, that’s also a gift. You can also give your passion and support. This Christmas, it’s not only what you receive but what you can give to others.”

Also in attendance to support the distribution were executives from World Vision led by National Director Dr. Herbert Quilon Carpio, MD and Resource Development Director Jun Godornes who both imparted inspiring words for the children attendees. Closing the program was Alma Acub, Program Manager for Malabon and Pangasinan.

Aside from the Noche Buena distribution, the program also consisted of an orientation on Mental Health Awareness, a presentation on Climate Change, as well as exciting games, and a song number from members of the World Vision kids choir.
