Play responsibly. Play for fun only

Pioneering digital entertainment company DigiPlus launched its newest online gaming platform GameZone, with celebrity host and comedian Vice Ganda as its first official brand ambassador.

AB Leisure Exponent Inc. President and DigiPlus Interactive Corp. Director Rafael Jasper S. Vicencio announced that GameZone provides cutting-edge, player-focused, high-quality betting experience among gamers

It further connects players across the nation through its live streaming and exclusive Player vs. Player (PVP) mode for various classic card and betting games like Tongits, Pusoy, and Lucky Nine, among others.

GameZone allows users to unlock an immersive and interactive gaming journey with one another.

During the grand launch at the EDSA Shangri-La Garden Ballroom on May 28, Vicencio led the presentation of the latest game and its application interface which they characterized as “Simpler. Bolder. Faster.”

“We are indeed excited to share this game with you because Tongits is something that’s also close to the heart of Filipinos, aside from Bingo,” he added.

FIRST BRAND AMBASSADOR

The grand launch featured a formal introduction of Vice Ganda as GameZone’s first ever brand ambassador.

“GameZone and I, we both share the same goal of giving entertainment, fun, enjoyment, and good vibes to the consumers and to the people that support us,” Vice Ganda said.

Vicencio pointed out that Vice Ganda embodies an innate capability to appeal with people, making her the perfect ambassador for GameZone.

“Having Vice Ganda as first ambassador is paramount to us because she has that unique ability and natural talent to project with the audience and entertain them, something that the brand also wants to do: Connecting to people,” he further mentioned.

Vice Ganda also emphasized that the collaboration was rooted in their shared concern toward consumers and fans’ well-being.

“Play responsibly and play for fun only. Gaming is not an acceptable way of livelihood and it does not solve any financial problem,” she added.

Vice Ganda, known for her “unkabogable” energy and “good vibes” mantra, stressed that she looks forward to the entertainment the gaming platform delivers to fans through its various games.

Most especially, she is excited to hear consumers’ stories about how GameZone contributes to their daily happiness and how it serves as a potent diversion from life’s challenges and hardships.

Having this self-awareness and accountability is one of the main reasons why Vicencio, on behalf of DigiPlus, chose Vice Ganda as the first face to represent GameZone.

“Vice Ganda is known to be very passionate about her advocacies and beliefs and GameZone is similar to this. We are very firm when it comes to our fight for responsible gaming,” he said.

NURTURING FUN AND RESPONSIBLE GAMERS

Beyond the celebration and spectacle, the partnership between Vice Ganda and GameZone is also a call for all the players to practice responsible gaming—encouraging everyone that having enough money is not a valid reason to play the game.

“We believe that gaming is not an acceptable way of living and it does not solve financial problems,” Vicencio stated, emphasizing responsible gaming as a prime DigiPlus advocacy.

“You have to know your capacity and limit as a player,” said Vice Ganda. “That’s what we’re advocating. Play in GameZone if you have more than enough money that you can use.”

She further emphasized: “We have to do it with so much fun and responsibility. That’s why when we brainstormed on the images, art cards, and billboards that we will release, one of my major requests with GameZone—and they said ‘yes’ right away—is to have big reminders stating: Play responsibly. Play for fun only.”

With this newly added online gaming platform in the roster of DigiPlus, the company’s advocacy remains the same: “It’s fun to win if the player is happy.”
