MANILA, PH – August 2025 – Sun Life of Canada (Philippines), Inc., the country’s first and longest standing life insurance provider marking its 130th anniversary this year, has secured the number one spot in the industry for the second quarter of 2025, with a total premium income amounting to PHP 28.9 billion.

This achievement reflects Sun Life’s exceptional performance and its unwavering commitment to delivering quality service and Client experience. It underscores the company’s dedication to its Clients, commitment to excellence, and the collective efforts of the agency force and head office – solidifying its position as a leader in the life insurance sector.

“Amidst economic uncertainty and technological disruption, Sun Life remains focused on what matters most – our Clients,” said Benedict Sison, CEO and Country Head of Sun Life Philippines. “We are committed to being their Partner for Life, always prioritizing their needs, delivering innovative solutions, and cultivating a culture of excellence, integrity, and care.”

This achievement comes on the heels of Sun Life’s back-to-back wins at the Insurance Asia Awards, where its product, Sun Life Secure Income, was recognized with the Product Innovation of the Year Award, and at the HR Excellence Awards, where it was bestowed the Gold Award for Excellence in Innovation.

“All these show that being Client-centric will always lead us to our best work,” Sison said. “We are grateful to our Clients for the support and inspiration and look forward to our continued journey together for years to come.”
