Skate, Rattle And Roll:  SM Skating Hosts First Halloween Cup

The Halloween season took a cool and exciting new spin as SM Sports and Leisure Centers held its first Halloween Cup at the SM Skating Megamall.  The event featured skaters of all ages and levels who showcased imaginative costumes and thrilling performances that fostered community spirit and family engagement.

The SM Skating Megamall was transformed into a Halloween wonderland as   one hundred-seven homegrown skaters, took to the ice, showcasing their   talent and artistry.   They competed in a spooktacular display of skill, creativity, and sportsmanship with a little-bit of fright and an overload of fun as   skaters glided gracefully across the ice to their favorite music.

The SM Halloween Cup takes sports and competition to a spooktacular new level.

More than a seasonal celebration, the event highlighted SM Skating- organized events under ISI Asia to promote and support recreational and competitive endeavors aimed to uphold grassroots sports development of young local talents.

“Through this event, SM Sports & Leisure Centers continue to encourage sports development and nurture young talents in ice skating.  We aim to provide families a place where they can bond, stay active, and enjoy activities like ice skating in the same place they shop, dine and spend time together,” said Joseph V. Silva, Senior Assistant Vice President (SAVP) of SM Sports and Leisure Centers.

The competition also celebrated the local skating community, giving athletes of all ages  the opportunity to shine, express their passion, and join in the festive spirit of the Halloween season. Visitors and mallgoers had a blast watching chilling spins, dazzling routines, and creative storytelling on ice as the skaters brought their spooky characters to life through captivating performances, while their families cheered their hearts out from the sidelines.

Dressed as their favorite characters, young skaters showed off their best tricks and treats on ice during their Halloween-themed routines.

True to SM Sports and Leisure Center’s commitment to bringing fun and engaging events to the community, the   SM Halloween Cup combined sports, entertainment, and the spirit of camaraderie in one chill-filled celebration on ice, setting the stage for more unique and exciting events to come. The event also reinforced SM’s continuing efforts to promote sports and leisure by providing facilities and programs that are accessible to everyone.
