MANILA, PH – October 2025– In the recently concluded 2025 Golden Arrow Awards held at Okada Manila, Sun Life Philippines has once again been recognized by the Institute of Corporate Directors (ICD) for its commitment to excellence in corporate governance, earning a Two-Golden Arrow Award.

This latest accolade marks the seventh consecutive year that Sun Life Philippines has been honored by the ICD, reaffirming its unwavering dedication to professionalism, accountability, and ethical leadership in the industry.

“We are truly honored to receive this prestigious recognition from the Institute of Corporate Directors,” said Benedict Sison, CEO and Country Head of Sun Life Philippines. “This award is a testament to our commitment to the highest standards of corporate governance. It reflects the collective dedication of our team to uphold integrity in everything we do, as we continue to serve our Clients and communities with excellence.”

The Golden Arrow Award is presented to companies that achieve a score of at least 80 points in the ASEAN Corporate Governance Scorecard (ACGS) Assessment, which evaluates adherence to the Philippine Code of Corporate Governance and internationally recognized best practices.

The assessment covers key aspects, such as facilitating the rights and equitable treatment of shareholders, sustainability and resilience, relationships with different stakeholders, and transparency and accountability. It also looks at how the board guides the company strategically, monitors the management, and ensures the board’s accountability to both the company and its shareholders.

Receiving the award on behalf of the company was Atty. Anna Katrina Kabigting-Ibero, Associate General Counsel and Corporate Secretary of Sun Life Philippines.

As the no. 1 life insurance company in the country in terms of total premium income, Sun Life Philippines continues to champion financial wellness and innovation, helping Filipinos live brighter lives through its products, services, and community initiatives.
