Received the highest rating in five out of seven categories

via GRAPHIC PLUS | Hangzhou, China, March 16, 2026 – Alibaba Cloud, the digital technology and intelligence backbone of Alibaba Group, has been named a Market Leader in the “Omdia Market Radar: Agentic AI Development Platform in Asia and Oceania, 2026” report.

Alibaba Cloud is named one of five leaders among twelve global vendors evaluated in Omdia’s report. It received the highest rating in five out of seven categories, including context engineering, model support, multi-agent framework, operation and lifecycle management, and open source and community.

“Among agent development platform vendors, Alibaba Cloud stands out for its comprehensive suite of enterprise-grade capabilities, making it a top choice for enterprises to build and deploy their own AI agents,” said Omdia in the report.

Building on its strong position in global cloud computing, Alibaba Cloud has evolved into a leading provider of end-to-end AI solutions. Released in December 2025, AgentRun is a serverless agentic AI infrastructure platform built on Alibaba Cloud’s Function Compute. The report highlights AgentRun for enabling users to create agents through visual interfaces or advanced programming languages. With multimodal retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) that supports text, image, and video understanding and generation, AgentRun can reduce the total cost of ownership (TCO) for AI agents by 60%.

Meanwhile, Alibaba Cloud’s AI development platform Model Studio gives users access to more than 140 models, including proprietary models such as Qwen, Wan and third-party models. Its open-source Qwen foundation model family has achieved over 1 billion global downloads and produced 200,000 derivative models, covering text, visual, and multimodal capabilities for diverse business applications.

Omdia’s report indicates that both global and regional momentum will accelerate enterprise adoption of agentic AI across Asia and Oceania. It projects the regional agentic AI software market to surge from $271 million in 2025 to $9.7 billion by 2030, reflecting a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 105%. This rapid expansion underscores the growing strategic importance of agentic AI in driving digital transformation and operational efficiency for enterprises in the region.

Last year, Alibaba Cloud has been named a market leader in Omdia’s report, “Market Radar: GenAI Cloud Titans in Asia & Oceania 2025.” The report positions Alibaba Cloud in the “Leader” quadrant, highlighting its generative artificial intelligence (GenAI) capabilities and comprehensive product portfolio across the Asia & Oceania region.
