Transforming Canva into the system at the center of how work gets done, powered by Canva’s rapidly advancing frontier AI lab
via GRAPHIC PLUS — Canva, the world’s leading visual communication platform, announced its most significant evolution since launching in 2013 with the introduction of Canva AI 2.0, ushering in a new era of AI-powered creation as the company transforms itself into the system where work gets done.
Just over a decade ago, Canva transformed complex, expensive desktop software into a simple, powerful platform in the browser. Today, with more than a quarter of a billion people using Canva every month, Canva AI 2.0 takes that next leap. It is a conversational, agentic platform powered by Canva’s frontier AI lab and years of investment in foundation models for design. Teams can go from the spark of an idea to the final output, all in one place.

“Canva AI 2.0 is built to fundamentally change how people get work done,” said Danny Wu, Head of AI Products at Canva. “We’re giving individuals and teams the ability to go from concept to a finished output in minutes, not hours, all in one place. It breaks down the barriers between thinking, creating, and publishing, so anyone can perform at the speed and scale of their vision.”
Canva Offline lets users keep creating without an internet connection
Canva also introduced Canva Offline, addressing one of the most-requested features from its global community. For the first time, designs can now be made available without an internet connection, letting users perform essential editing actions, upload and work with local image files, and pick up exactly where they left off, whenever and wherever they need to.

A Powerful New Architecture Layer
Canva AI 2.0 introduces a powerful new architecture layer that reimagines the entire design process, making it easier than ever to bring an idea to life. With Canva AI 2.0, users can create interactive digital experiences, build structured data sheets and generate customized content at scale. These developments reflect Canva’s growing role as a platform that supports a wider range of professional and creative needs.
