Fête de la Musique 2026 packs June with month-long free nationwide concerts

MANILA, Philippines — Fête de la Musique Philippines is officially returning this June for its 32nd edition, transforming the global French musical tradition into a massive, month-long nationwide cultural movement.

Operating under the theme “For the People, By the People,” this year’s festival celebrates its evolution from a single-stage event into a sprawling, community-led powerhouse.

FêtePH2026 aims to unite artists, cultural advocates, and music lovers across a network of pocket stages spanning Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao.

As always, the festival remains free and open to everyone, courtesy of Alliance Française de Manille alongside its co-presenters and partners.

LOLA AMOUR AND MORE TO HEADLINE MAIN STAGE

The key highlight of the month-long festivities, the FêtePH2026 Main Stage, is set to take over the Ayala Triangle Gardens in Makati City on Saturday, June 20.

Integrated into the vibrant Makati Street Meet and the Makati City Fiesta, the Main Stage boasts a stellar lineup of OPM heavyweights and breakthrough acts.

Headlining the massive celebration are the chart-topping pop-rock outfit Lola Amour, the legendary jazz-rock and spoken-word collective Radioactive Sago Project, the powerhouse hip-hop group Morobeats, and the Jewelmer Jazz Band.

Organizers tease that more surprise local and international headliners will be announced in the coming weeks.

Adding global flavor to the June 20–21 weekend, the Main Stage will feature French krautrock trio Meule as part of their Asian tour, alongside French-Vietnamese harpist Héloïse La Harpe. Foodies and culture enthusiasts can also look forward to the Taste of France French Market, which will line Paseo de Roxas from June 20 to 21. The market will feature an authentic selection of French gastronomic specialties, wine, and artisanal goods.

MONTH-LONG ACTIVATIONS

FêtePH2026 goes beyond the weekend concerts with a diverse calendar of events throughout June. The musical journey kicks off on June 10 with the return of “Music Heals,” a dedicated wellness advocacy and sound healing festival leveraging the therapeutic power of sound. Shortly after, renowned French pianist Maxime Zecchini will hold two intimate performances, starting at The Writer’s Bar in Raffles Makati on June 14, followed by a recital at the Alliance Française de Manille on June 15.

The industry focus shifts on June 19 with the Asia–France Music Bridge Workshops, a crucial networking and exchange initiative for creative entrepreneurs, emerging artists, and cultural workers across Southeast Asia. For this event, French experts Gwendolenn Sharp and Leila Bellot will join local industry leaders in Manila to discuss intellectual property and creative growth. Closing out the month-long musical marathon on June 29, the acclaimed Manila-based jazz duo Project Yazz—composed of vocalist Faye Yupano and bassist Bergan Nuñez—will take the stage at the Long Bar in Raffles Makati to perform their signature jazz reinterpretations of Original Pilipino Music (OPM).

POCKET STAGES, DESTINATION STAGES

On Friday, June 26, the music spills into the streets of Makati with the fan-favorite Pocket Stages, offering deeply localized, genre-specific gigs in various intimate venues. The party then goes nationwide from June 20 to 28, with 23 NCR Stages and 66  stages accross 33 Destination Stages  activating simultaneously across the provinces of Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao, bringing the unique Fête experience to thousands of music fans outside Metro Manila.

“Fête de la Musique has evolved into a true ‘community of communities,’ uniting artists and music lovers from Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao,” says Olivier Dintinger, Executive Director of Alliance Française de Manille “This 32nd edition belongs entirely to the people. By keeping the festival completely free and expanding our footprint nationwide, we are celebrating not just the universal language of music, but the vibrant, community-led spirit that makes the Philippine music scene so extraordinary.”
