Ambassador ENDO Kazuya and Madame ENDO Akiko attend the 9th Cultural Festival by JAMI

VIA GRAPHIC PLUS (27 June 2026) Ambassador ENDO Kazuya and Madame ENDO Akiko participated in the 9th Cultural Festival organized by the Japanese Association Manila (JAMI) held at the Romulo Auditorium in Makati City.

In his opening remarks, Ambassador Endo expressed his gratitude to the Japanese Association and other guests, emphasizing that this event serves as a significant platform for promoting exchanges between Japan and the Philippines, as well as for disseminating information about Japanese culture.

He also mentioned that 2026 is the commemorative year marking the 70th anniversary of the normalization of diplomatic relations between Japan and the Philippines. He also expressed his hopes for the further development of bilateral relations in the future.

This year, 10 groups and approximately 300 people performed, showcasing the culmination of their daily practice in choral singing, dance, instrumental performances, and more.

In addition to the Japanese attendees, many Filipinos also participated in this cultural festival. With the overall attendance reaching nearly 800 people, the event is considered a great success. It was an endearing occasion overflowing with smiles from both the performers and the attendees.
